When you arrive at our office you will first meet our front
desk staff. It is their job to make you feel comfortable and welcome
while having you fill out an important information form and confirm your
insurance data.
When you enter the exam room one of our nurses will
take your medical history. Please feel free to mention any special concerns
you may have. You are welcome to have a family member accompany you to
the exam room. We discourage bringing small children to your appointment, since the focus should be on you.
Your surgeon will next talk with you and examine you.
He will go over any recommendations with you and your family. Ask all
the questions you have. The more you know, the better you will do.
If surgery is planned you will be asked to sit down with
one of our schedulers to choose a convenient time and place. All
preparations will be explained fully.
Should you have any concerns about your insurance coverage
or if you need to make special arrangements for payment, we will ask you
to meet with one of our insurance specialists or with our practice
administrator, Carol Lane. Please voice to her any concerns about
how you are treated by anyone in the practice. We, of course, like to
hear good comments as well. Surgical scheduling can also be done at your leisure over the telephone.
