Statement
RSA’s physicians have dedicated their lives to caring for their patients’
surgical needs. They maintain the intellectual and educational credentials that
will assure the best and most current surgical treatments for their patients.
Philip Z. Aronow, MD, FACS
Dr. Aronow has been practicing general surgery in the South Jersey area since
the 1970's. He is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson Medical College and did his
surgical training at UMDNJ Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. He is board
certified in general surgery. He has been Chief of Surgery at Virtua/West Jersey
Hospital since 1995. His particular areas of interest are in laparoscopic, breast,
and hernia surgery.
Charles J. Butler, MD, FACS, CNSP
Dr. Butler has been practicing general surgery in the South Jersey area since
the 1970's. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School
where he also did his surgical training. He is board certified in general surgery
and nutritional support. He is the author of several publications. He presently
chairs the Breast Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy Committee and Nutrition Support
Committee. His particular areas of interest are in breast, hernia, thyroid and
parathyroid, and abdominal surgery.
Frederick S. Fisher, MD, FACS
Dr. Fisher has been practicing general and vascular surgery in the greater Philadelphia
area since 1996. He is a graduate of Mt.Sinai Medical School and did his residency
and vascular fellowship at the New York University Medical Center. He did a
year of research in addition to his vascular fellowship. He is board certified
in both general and vascular surgery. He is a fellow of the American College
of Surgeons and the American Medical Association (AMA) as well as the Society
for Clinical Vascular Surgery and American Association for Vascular Surgery
and has authored multiple papers during his training period. Aside from being
an accomplished general surgeon, Dr. Fisher brings to the group his considerable
expertise in vascular surgery.
Adam Goldstein, DO, FACS
Dr. Goldstein joined our practice in July, 2005 and is the Medical Director for Minimally Invasive Surgery for the Virtua Voorhees Hospital. He is a graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his residency and minimally invasive, robotic, and bariatric surgery fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is the author of several publications regarding minimally invasive surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons. Dr. Goldstein brings to the group his expertise in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery, with a particular interest in performing general surgical procedures using minimally invasive techniques.

Thomas A. Grabiak, MD, FACS
Dr. Grabiak has been practicing general, vascular, and thoracic surgery in the
South Jersey area since the mid 1980's. He is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson
Medical College and did his surgical training at the Pennsylvania Hospital.
He is the author of several papers and has lectured extensively. He is a Diplomate
of the American Board of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
He is an active member of the American Medical Association (AMA) as well as
a member of the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery. Dr. Grabiak, in addition
to practicing general surgery, has particular expertise in Vascular and Thoracic
(chest)surgery.
George W. Hager, III, MD, FACS
Dr. Hager has been practicing general surgery in the South Jersey area since
1982. He is a graduate Thomas Jefferson Medical College who did his surgical
training at the UMDNJ in UMDNJ Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. He is
board certified in general surgery. He is an active member of the American College
of Surgeons, the North American Society of Pacing Electrophysiology, the American
Medical Association (AMA) and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic
Surgeons. He is the author of several papers. Dr. Hager has particular interest
and expertise in laparoscopic, breast, hernia, abdominal surgery, and pacemakers.
Robert B. Minor, MD
Dr. Minor has been performing general, thoracic and vascular in the South Jersey
area since the mid 1960's. He is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine
and did his surgical training through the United States Public Health Systems
Surgical Clinic in Washington, D.C., completing general, thoracic and vascular
residencies as well in San Francisco, California. He is an active member of
the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American College of Surgeons.
He is also a Charter Member of the American Board of Vascular Surgery. He has
served on multiple committees within the Virtua/West Jersey Health System and
is the recipient of many awards including Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Docs in
1996 and 1997. He is a past Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Virtua/West
Jersey Health System. Dr. Minor’s major interests are in vascular and thoracic
surgery.
Howard J. Winter, MD, FACS
Dr. Winter has been practicing general and colorectal surgery in the South Jersey
area since 1978. He is a graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in
New York City and completed his surgical training there. He is board certified
in general surgery and is an active member of the American Society of Colon
& Rectal Surgeons. In addition to being an accomplished general surgeon,
Dr. Winter has particular interest and expertise in colorectal surgery and proctology,
including colonoscopy. He is a past Chairman of Virtua Health System's Cancer
Program.
